How do you feel about nutrition? Are you confused or confident? Are you a dieter? Do you try to make healthy choices all of the time, some of the time, or never?
It’s kind of a crazy and confusing thing with lots of conflicting information for people. I’m a registered dietitian and I sometimes feel confused with all of the different studies and thoughts.
Becoming a registered dietitian takes a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition from a CADE accredited college, then an internship of 1200 supervised practice hours, then passing a big exam. I also went a step further and got my master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition. So you could say that I know a little bit about nutrition.
My philosophy here lately seems to be do what I say, not what I do J. I am a firm believer in splurging occasionally but eating healthy most of the time, but that’s not what I have been doing. I haven’t been budgeting, writing menus, planning meals, or really eating all that healthy here lately.
Eating healthy takes effort and time. It takes a bit of sacrifice. I haven’t been putting in the effort, time, or sacrifice that I need to in order to feed myself or my family the way that I should.
Come along with me as I make some changes. Being healthy includes exercise, so I am going to try to start getting that done too. Let’s help each other get back on the wagon, when it comes to healthy eating! Maybe I will lose some of this weight that I have gained along the way.
